TwilightTint does not offer a mobile service as we want you to have the best possible ca window tinting installation. This is why we only work from our clean workshop offering a controlled environment. We strive to minimize dust particles. This explains why we are often asked to replace inferior car window tinting installation.
We believe that the same high quality finish cannot be produced by working outside as you cannot control the environment where dust particles are blowing around.
True story: We were asked once to tint a vehicle roof at a prestigious luxury car maker. Even though they provided a clean environment, the finish achieved was not of our usual high quality standard. It was then decided to bring the car to our workshop. The window film installation on the vehicle achieved was of our high quality standard. The glass roofs were then brought to us as you can see from our gallery. Since then we never offered mobile tinting.
TwilightTint will inform you about car window tinting legislation. We want you to leave us with a road legal vehicle so your insurance is not at risk. We care about what we do.
Penalties for having wrongly tinted windows.
It's illegal to fit or sell glass (or a vehicle already fitted with glass) that breaks the rules on tinted windows.
The police or the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) vehicle examiners use light measuring equipment to measure window tint.
If your windscreen or front side windows are tinted too much you could get:
- a 'prohibition notice' stopping you using your vehicle on the road until you have the extra tint removed
- a penalty notice or court summons

Front windows are now part of the MOT test.
Having a vehicle that is not road legal could also invalidate your insurance.
True story: We provided one person with the correct information as per above, however this person did not like the answer and the fact that we refused to tint his front windows. This person decided to provide us with our first unwarranted negative review on google.
So please don't shoot the messenger if you do not like be referred to the legislation and informed about it.
As we are a professional car window tinting company, we have a visible light transmission meter reading to check your front windows for a fee.
We could easily offer this service to get money but this is not who we are.
Please note, we do not offer chameleon window tinting on front windows and windscreen.
If you were to have a chameleon tint applied to your front or windscreen windows, make sure the window tinting company test your windows and provide you with a report showing that you are road legal as in most cases you will not be.
This report can be presented to your insurance and police if needs be.
🔥 Remember, if you car is not road legal, you will probably invalidate your insurance.
Tinted front windows were made illegal for a reason. Police could not see the driver of the car which is the same as the vehicle with chameleon window tint. We believe this type of tinting will soon be made illegal.
Please note, we do not offer car wrapping or sign writing. Our expertise is window film installation.
Car wrapping can be expensive if you want a high quality & long lasting wrap and should not be done outside of a clean and controlled workshop.
A high quality wrapped will involved your vehicle being dismantled (ie bumper, mirrors...) which may not be put back as it originally was.
Wrapped vehicle require regular maintenance and cleaning to look its best which can be time consuming and expensive.
If the wrap becomes damaged, it will need to be repaired or replaced which can become costly.
Having a car wrapped can affect negatively your resale value of your vehicle.
Removing the wrap is time consuming and a difficult process. If not done properly, it can damage the paint and body of the car.
Wrapped can only be applied on a vehicle with body paint from the manufacturer.
The cost of your insurance should increase.
We do not offer car headlights tinting service.

We do not skip corners on recommended products to be used for our window film installation which is reflected in the price.

High-quality products come at a higher cost, while lower-cost options are often lower in quality. It's important to consider the trade-offs between cost and quality when making a window tinting purchasing decision, as choosing a lower-cost option may result in a product that is less reliable, less durable, or of lower quality.

True story: One of customers had a glass replaced which was previously tinted by us. The glazier did not believe that the glass pane was tinted as the quality of the work was one the best his has seen to date.
This non refundable deposit is to confirm your appointment and ensures that the appointment time is allocated to your vehicle to be tinted. That is why if you are late we must be informed as we may not have the time to complete your vehicle window tinting installation during the time allocated. We of course cannot expect the next customer to have his appointment delayed.
This was put in place to also avoid people who do not show up for their appointments also called "time wasters".
You have 48h to reschedule your appointment which does not including weekend. Under 48h, your deposit will be lost.
Should we feel that a customer or car dealer is taking advantage we will have no hesitation in parting companies. This explain our second unwarranted negative rating (with no feedback) on google.

Generally we do not come out and measure unless it a sizable amount of glass panes.
Our main activity is car window tinting which we carry out from our workshop. Being away from the office to go and measure few windows does not make business sense as we will be loosing revenue.
We strongly believe people are more than capable to measure their own windows. We will send you a questionnaire with all the information required to provide you with a quotation.
Should you really want us to come out and measure, a fee will be applied to compensate us from the loss of revenue for being away from the office working on a vehicle and expenses. Please visit our shop to pay for the visit fee.

We replaced window film in one of our customer's house as the window film installed by another company only lasted 2 years and the customers could no longer see out of their tinted windows. When removing the window film, we discovered the glazing to be heavily scratch. The customer informed us that it was very cheap.

If you are unable to measure your conservatory, we will come and measure it for you depending of your location.
Otherwise, we will send you a questionnaire with all the information required to provide you with a quotation.
